Each assignment (of which there are ten (10)) is on a separate page in this website.  On each page, there will be documents and videos which will assist in completing the assignment.

Assignment and Directions - at the top of the assignment page will be something like this

General guidelines:  You do not need to rewrite the question; if the question asks for lists, use a list format, not paragraphs with commas.  The following is a list format (which you should read).

Principle #1 in Professional Writing is using lists rather than paragraphs and long sentences.

--Answers can be in phrases rather than sentences.

---You may also save this document and enter the answers in between the questions.  This is not required, but is very helpful.

---Submit only one assignment per e-mail.

---You will receive a response that either says: “Assignment # __ complete   OR

--If corrections are needed, they will be indicated in the response.

·-Reply to the response with the corrections; do not create a new e-mail for the corrections.

--Make sure you watch the video lesson related to the assignment.

Related Video Lesson (accessed through a Vimeo link)

How to Use Vimeo: Click the links on the Assignment page for each lesson.  If the link shows yellow or any other color, click on it and the link will turn red, which you should click to get to the video lesson.

To get a larger screen, which will make viewing easier, click on the link below the video or click on the "four arrows" in he lower right hand corner of the video itself.  You can adjust the audio (probably highest volume) on your computer or on the video screen.

Pause your video whenever you need to take notes or get a "screen shot" of the information.  You can watch them again if you forget something.  When the video starts, move the cursor away from the video so you can see the whole screen.

Note:  You can watch the video on your smart phone or tablet if you download the free Vimeo app, but the screen size is not ideal for some of the text in the video lessons.

Class Notes: For each assignment, there are pages of the Class Notes which relate to the assignment; these need to be accessed for much of the information and help needed to complete the assignment.  For each assignment, the primary page numbers of the Class Notes related to the assignment are indicated.   Note:  Download the entire Class Notes workbook from the Home Page of the Website to get a better view of the development of concepts or as a "textbook" to keep for future reference.  (or you can click the icon below).

Document Templates are provided on the Assignment pages which require written documents, such as letters, resumes, proposals, analytical reports, etc.  They should always be downloaded as the template to begin producing a document.  Never start with a blank page.

Student Samples of Assignments and Documents are provided on those Assignment pages in which they may be helpful for completing the assignment.   The purpose is to help other students to complete assignments in an excellent fashion.  The biggest difficulty that many students have is making the transition from general language to very specific language, including the use of visuals, so that the reader can completely understand the information.

Video Helps are also provided, if needed, to help with completing assignments.

Always scroll to the bottom of pages in the website.
